(in response to the last glowing review)

Well then, why is what you’re saying running totally counter to the care sheet that came with the bonsai boy juniper!? That plus I’m positive it advertised “eligible for free shipping”–but alas I paid the 8.95 anyway. AND the picture is full and lush. Mine is pretty darn thin compared to that……. But the worst part is, the Bonsai Boy care sheet says specifically if you bring it indoors to keep it DARK. This is saying keep it well-lit while indoors. I live in Northern New England. It’s too cold almost 6 months out of the year to keep it outdoors, and I chose Juniper because the reviews I read said it was a good beginner tree. Which is it, lit or dark indoors?

These guys at Bonsai Boy are great! I’ve dealt with them a few times including outside Amazon and they’re very helpful. They also have very nicely trained and healthy trees. This juniper is pretty basic but is a great tree. I highly recommend to a novice bonsai-er!

Cheers

This tree is better than I would have expected having ordered it online! I was expecting it to be shabby and in need of major TLC. I was surprised to find that it was in good shape overall and nicely presented out of the box! It doesn’t look as sharp as in the photo though, but over time it will become lush and happy like the photo. An easy way to get a bonsai thats quality.

Ever since I saw Mr Miyagi in the Karate Kid meticulously pruning his Bonsai tree with a pair of toenail clippers I’ve wanted one of these cute little trees.

When it arrived I was immediately impressed. It looked just like the picture here on Amazon. Well packaged & healthy. Many months later its still going strong. It even grew enough so that I had the opportunity to break out the toenail clippers & have some fun. If you’re into that sort of thing, this is a great little tree. If not it makes a great gift. Either way I think you’ll be happy.

It looks exactly like the picture. The only thing I didn’t like was the bowl has pebbles to the top which makes it hard to water without it running off. So, the little guy gets thirsty and is starting to turn brown. You are going to have to keep a close eye on it.
